During COVID, and especially the months of sheltering in place, I posted a weekly message to my congregation and it often shared a mudra, or embodied prayer, that I found to be helpful in living through the challenges of that time. Today, I offer this video of a mudra I am using now, reminding me to stay calm, to keep my heart open, to call up and live from my higher self, and to do what I can to support my own healing and the healing of others.
Here are the words, not mine but from a Buddhist teacher whose name I do not know:
May we know peace.
May our hearts remain open.
May we know the beauty of our higher selves.
May we be healed.
May we be a source of healing.
If you have a mantra, a prayer, a mudra or a practice that is keeping you calm now and that helps you be present to the pain and the possibilities of this time, I would love to learn about it in the comments below.
Take good care, friends. Let’s help each other keep our hearts open and our healing ongoing.
Karen
