Sometimes it’s hard to choose between options. As in: do I join a group of thresholders online Tuesday evening for embodied practices and guided writing, reflection and conversation about claiming companions when living through change? Or, do I watch the U.S. presidential debates happening that night?
I don’t know what the right choice is for you (or whether that choice is easy or hard). If you’re not in the U.S., it might be easy! But, if you’re undecided, I do want you to know it is possible to do both. Our guided online session will begin at 7 pm CDT and the debates will start an hour later. I’ll shape the session to end the guided reflections and prompts by 8 pm CDT so that anyone wanting to, can leave our zoom room then and tune in to the debate. For those who want to stay for the rest of the guided session, we’ll then move into conversation in breakouts, as we always do near the end, with a closing in the group as a whole and ending the session by 8:30 pm CDT.
I hope this helps you decide how to spend your Tuesday evening. If you want to join us online and haven’t yet registered for the online session, you can do so through the retreat centers cosponsoring these programs: the Christine Center and Prairiewoods retreat center. Or, if you’re a paid subscriber to Threshold Times, scroll down to the bottom of this message to find a big orange button to register free as a benefit of your support of this newsletter. Either way, after you register, you’ll receive a new link to use for joining the program on Tuesday.
I’m looking forward to our time together. This is one of my favorite Thresholding skills named in Trusting Change. I enjoy exploring the many kinds of companions available to us on the threshold and the way they make our journeys through change both less intimidating and less lonely.
Take good care,
Karen
